So I’ve been using Proactiv for about 5.5 weeks now. My skin got slightly better during weeks 2&3, but now I’m getting pimples all over. And they hurt! Now, I’m thinking that this is the Proactiv purging my skin of all it’s crap, but if I’m wrong, and it’s just irritating my skin I need to switch, right? I’m so scared to try a new skin line. for 3-6 months? I just got off of accutane about a month ago but now I have these scars left. I’m trying a scar gel, just started today. Is this a good idea? I will see my dermatologist again this Thursday, should I ask for Retin-A instead, will that work better? I’ve tried TCA and Jesners’ Peel and it seems to make my scars look worse. But I’ve been using this ponds facial cloth and it has retinol and collagen and it makes my scars look better. I use primer and foundation to cover them up but I’d like to better their appearance so that I can feel more confident wearing less makeup, that’s really my end goal. I’m thinking if I use the scar gel as directed and maybe Retin-A as well, that might work? I’ve tried microdermasion about 3 times in the past as well and didn’t seem to make much difference in my opinion. I’ve also tried dermarolling 6x and that didn’t work for longer than like a day after doing so and I used the 1.5mm rollers. Thanks.
