Answer by Baylie
The scab is fine.. Just don’t rip it off (that’s what causes the scarring)

Article by Shadeux Stein

Acne is one thing that all of us have in common; we will all get at the very least one pimple in our lifetimes. Some of us unfortunately get worse acne than others and more often than not, when the acne is cleared up acne scars are left behind. Many people can feel overwhelmed and frustrated at the fact that acne scars are so hard to reduce. If you want to treat acne scars there are several different options you can go with as an alternative to surgery or injections as well as preventative measures to take in order to ensure you won’t have to suffer with acne scars.

1. Don’t Touch. Ever.

The number reason that people get acne scars is because they pop, pick and touch their acne. I know it’s tempting as well as relieving but for the sake of your skin don’t touch. A pimple is a deep rooted, build up of bacteria and excess oils that popping and picking at them leaves a deep wound in the skin, so deep that a scar forms. If you have to touch your face (i.e. applying an acne treatment) make sure your hands are clean so to not transfer any bacteria and dirt to your face.

2. Use All Natural Acne Scar Creams

Make sure you only use scar cream that are made with the finest organic ingredients there are. Some of the best acne scar creams are designed to penetrate to the deepest layers of your skin. Collaxyl is an all natural peptide that act as a messenger to the skin in order to stimulate cellular regeneration therefore bridging the gap between acne scars. So many of the scar fading products on the market are made with bleaching agents to lessen the appearance of scars, many of which have deemed illegal by all of Europe as well as several other countries, except the US due to their hazardous nature.

3. Remember Your Sun Block

If you are have acne one of the best things to do is avoid the sun as best you can or always remember to wear a sun screen with an SPF of 40 or higher. Getting sunburn while having acne is just asking for trouble as the irritation and inflammation from the burn will make acne appear to go away due to the trauma from the sun, but in no time at all acne will reappear, and be much more severe simply due to inflammation. If you want to avoid future scarring than avoid the sun or at least protect yourself from it.

4. H20

Nothing on this planet has proved to be more beneficial for sustaining life than water. Making sure that you drink plenty of water every day not only hydrates you body and mind allowing for proper organ function-ability and metabolism control, but it also flushes out toxins from the skin that would normally cause acne as well as impurities that can result in the appearance of acne scars.

Instead of going under the knife or having a needle being shoved in your face filled with synthetic fillers look at the simple all natural methods to treat and prevent acne scars. Remember to always wear your sun screen and to drink plenty of water as to protect your skin and flush impurities. Make sure you don’t ever pop or pick at your acne if you don’t want acne scars to form and if you already have acne scars than your best bet is to use all natural acne scar fading cream designed to heal your skin from the inside out.

Acne is a skin condition that affects 90% of the population at some point during their life cycle. It is unsightly, embarrassing and unattractive. Acne occurs as a result of blockage in the follicle of our pores. As a result our skin becomes irritated causing a pimple which is usually large, red and very unpleasant. Most people’s reaction to acne especially when it appears out of nowhere is to immediately pop it. However, popping your pimples can cause scarring on your skin and what people don’t realize is that once acne has formed it has already created scarring within the deeper layers of skin.

The body is a modern miracle within itself that has its own immune system. The immune system defends the body against foreign substances and keeps the system from being attacked. When acne metabolizes in a blocked follicle the immune system is trigger to send an inflammatory response. Although, the inflammatory response is the body’s way of defending itself against acne it can also cause damage to the skin.

When acne forms in a blocked follicle, debris builds up and can back up into the dermis, the middle layer of skin. During an inflammatory response the body sends an overabundance of white blood cells and plasma to the affected area, which causes inflammation to protect the surrounding tissues and organs. Inflammation within the dermis is the actual cause of acne scars. The wound from where the debris overflowed into the dermis, tries to heal itself, however due to the inflammation too much collagen is left within the area causing a scar to be left within the skin. Acne scarring can be very noticeable causing pitting within the skin tissue or can be superficial and not very noticeable at all.

There are four typical forms of acne scars. They are defined based upon the look and shape of the actual scarring. The ice pick scars are the most common type of scarring. They are deep pits with steep sides and jagged edges, basically the size and shape an ice pick would leave behind. This type of scarring is normally found on the cheeks. Box car scars are oval shaped depressions within the skin and have sharp edges. These scars vary in depth and look like chickenpox scars. Box car scars are normally found on the cheeks and temples. Rolling scars have a wave like appearance. Typically appearing on the cheeks or forehead, rolling scars are a result of tissue damage beneath the top layer of skin. Lastly hypertrophic scars are small, red bumps. They can be thickened or resemble keloid scars.

The easiest way to avoid acne scars is to stop popping your pimples. This will decrease the superficial scars that appear on the surface of your skin. However, there are other ways to eliminate the scarring that forms within the dermis. Dermatologists have come up with several different procedures that can restore your skin by removing the scar tissue left behind from acne. Not every treatment is right for everyone; it is dependant upon the type of scarring you have.

Some of the procedures that dermatologists recommend are subcision, punch treatments, chemical peels, dermabrasion, laser resurfacing and acne creams. Treatments such as these although very effective can range in cost from $50 to $2500. Unfortunately the average person suffering from acne scars cannot afford these expensive treatments. However, there are several natural acne treatments that can be used within the comfort of your own home that can not only resolve your acne scars but also won’t cause side effects or several days of healing.

Natural treatments are becoming more and more popular because they have no adverse side effects; they are low in cost, and easily used at home. For people who have sensitive skin, natural skin remedies won’t harm or injure the skin. Drinking lots of water and maintaining a healthy diet with lots of antioxidants, fruits and vegetables will not only improve the health of your skin but it can also cleanse and rejuvenate damaged skin cells. Drinking lemon juice daily will shed dead skin cells and grow new healthier, more elastic skin. Lemon juice greatly reduces the presence of acne scars. Apply aloe gel to acne scars. Aloe is known for its healing properties. Using aloe gel directly from the plant is the best source however using an aloe product will work just as well. Honey is also a natural skin healer. Apply honey directly to the face for 10 minutes and then rinse. Honey will kill bacteria within the skin that causes the formation of acne. You have seen people put cucumbers over their eyes to reduce dark circles; well putting cucumber juice on your face can tighten the pores allowing less debris to build up.

Whatever home remedy you choose; remember it may take a couple of days up to a week to notice a difference in your skin. Don’t get discouraged, there are several home treatments out there, so if the first one doesn’t do enough for you, then try another one, there is one that is right for you!

Some people are fortunate; the acne goes away without leaving the slightest mark or blemish. Others are less fortunate. For them, acne can be severe, often persisting and leaving unsightly scars in its wake. acne scars caused by breakouts can be permanent.

While there are several treatments (surgical and otherwise) available to lessen the intensity or even eliminate scarring, there’s plenty you can do to help prevent them in the first place. Below, we’ll give you a few tips on how you can help prevent acne scars. Follow these simple steps to reduce acne, prevent scars and make your life better.

1. Don’t squeeze, pop, or pick at pimples. Squeezing a pimple can force debris deeper into the follicle, spread infection, and worsen a blemish. When you pick at the skin, it can cause acute inflammation and seriously damage the skin’s tissue.

2. Look for “oil-free” or “non-irritating” products. Though you need the natural oils on your face, you do not need the oils from facial products. Also, if your skin is sensitive, harsh products can make your skin dry out and your acne worse.

3. Most dermatologists agree that the best way to prevent scarring from acne is to wash your face regularly with a mild soap and treat acne early. Apply Retin-A or a solution with benzoyl peroxide. If the acne has become inflamed, try to avoid the sun. The uv rays can slow down your skin’s healing process and even cause additional damage.

4. Another dietary recommendation for acne-sufferers is to consume many bland foods such as oatmeal, rice, brown grains, and applesauce. These foods should be eaten instead of spicy foods and fried foods, which are believed by some practitioners to stimulate the hormones and glands that aggravate acne conditions.

5. As mentioned before, it’s not good to wash your face too often. With that in mind, wash up morning and night, that’s twice a day. If you face gets too oily during the day, use oil-blotting sheets. Pat your face dry. Do not rub! Rubbing your skin is irritating and can cause more acne/breakouts.

6. Some dermatologists suggest a more “natural” approach to preventing acne scars. They can recommend herbal remedies such as primrose and black currant oil (usually ingested in capsule form). Often, teas such as those made from echinacea, goldenseal and calendula are advised. A diet with a high content of beta-carotene is believed to help prevent severe acne and thereby, avert acne scarring.

7. Use acne medication sparingly. You should only apply acne medication to the oiliest parts of your face to prevent it from becoming too dry. The active ingredient in acne medication is an astringent such as tretinoin or benzoyl peroxide. This absorbs the excess oil in the skin and may reduce the chances of the pores becoming blocked.

8. There are natural acne treatment that you can always resort to. Lemon is a natural acid that can bleach the skin. Sandalwood paste, essentials oils from rosewood and lavender plus honey and cucumber are also known to have lightening effects on the scar.

9. keeping your face clean is the most important part of acne prevention. Keep your pores open. Use a mild soap when washing your skin and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Wash at least once per day and after heavy exercise.

The next problem after acne is acne scars. People who are not aware about this potential problem will usually end up having scars in their face after they’ve successfully eliminate their acne. It is important to prevent acne scarring when you have acne in your face. Preventing acne scars is really a must if you really want to have beautiful and flawless skin.

If you want to prevent acne scarring, there are 3 ways that you need to do:

Step 1 – Avoid Squeezing or Popping Your Acne

Popping or squeezing your acne not only will aggravate your acne, but it will also trigger acne scars on the spot you squeezed or popped. So, preventing acne scarring can be done by avoiding popping or squeezing your acne at all cost. This is a strict rule and you should follow it if you want to have flawless skin.

Step 2 – Stay Away from Harsh Chemical Cleansers and Scrubs

Harsh chemical cleansers and scrubs are not healthy for your skin. It is indicated by extreme dryness and irritation in your skin after using those scrubs and cleansers. If you are using chemical cleansers and scrubs regularly and you see no improvements at all in your skin or your skin become worse or dry, you need to stop the usage immediately.

If you want to use cleansers and scrubs, try to choose natural and water based products. Harsh chemical cleansers and scrubs will result in acne scars because those products are basically rubbing your face harshly, worse than squeezing or popping your pimples. So, staying away from harsh chemical cleansers and scrubs is the next step in preventing acne scarring.

Step 3 – Drink 8 Glasses of Pure Water Every Day

A huge part of our body consists of water. The water is needed for your skin. It is just like a ground that needs to be watered every day to remain in good condition. Your body needs to be sufficiently hydrated every day. You need to drink at least 8 glasses of pure water every day to remain at good skin condition.

Acne scars can be prevented by just doing this simple activity. Drinking enough pure water every day is the next step in preventing acne scarring. Sufficient water consumptions will smoothen and soften your skin and also make your skin more radiant. This is the great advantage of water.

If you combine the above steps, you will surely succeed in preventing acne scarring in your face or other parts of your body. Do exactly as described and you should be okay on your way.

You can have clear skin and be acne free. CLICK HERE NOW >> THERE IS A SOLUTION TO GET RID OF ACNE NOW – GUARANTEED >>

People with severe acne problems face body acne problems as well. This type of acne usually appears on the back chest arms and shoulders and is also known as ‘bacne’. These are caused by over active oil glands in the body and excessive dead cells that are trapped in the hair follicle. Body acne treatment needs to be not only treated medically but you may also need to keep certain other factors in mind.

Many a times certain types of clothes also aggravate acne due to the friction they cause whilst rubbing against your skin. You should learn which type of fabric reacts with your body and leads to acne. In most cases cotton clothes are preferable as they are soft and smooth enough to keep your skin comfortable. You should also avoid tight fitting clothes too-snug clothes synthetic rubber straps shoulder purse straps or even materials done with embroidery in metallic wires.

Apart from clothing severe sweating may also lead to acne as sweat irritates the body. You should avoid rubbing your skin even with a loafer or a scrub which may irritate the skin further. Always pat dry your skin and keep the pores closed. Rubbing your skin may irritate the pores and open them and invite infection. Always use a skin wash with salicylic acid that cleanses the oil on the skin.

Salicylic acid is one of the best known body acne treatments. You can use body wash with salicylic acid that cleanses your body daily from infection and excessive oil. Benzoyl peroxide is also well known for treating acne. Apply benzoyl peroxide gel on affected areas daily to prevent further infection and dry up your acne. Lotions containing alpha hydroxyl acids such as lactic acid also neutralize the body pH.

Body acne is tougher than facial acne and can tolerate stronger treatments. However the skin area around the neck can be very sensitive so you should use ointments or gels accordingly and with caution. Accutane is the last resort for body acne treatment as it has its own side effects. It should be used only were excessive and severe acne has formed and when all other treatments have failed.

Apart from these treatments you could also alter your lifestyle a little to prevent body acne. Avoid oily and greasy food and stick to healthy foods. Easy digestion and lots of salads also natural ingredients will help improve your skin tone and texture leading to a healthy glowing skin. If you sweat a lot you should change your clothes often and take regular showers at least twice a day. Avoid tight fitting clothes. You should also avoid carrying heavy backpacks that may irritate the skin due to constant rubbing of skin. Check out your hormonal balance as imbalanced hormones may also lead to back acne.

Body acne treatment can be costly so it is always best to opt for preventing body acne by sticking to healthy lifestyle and keeping yourself medically fit.

The first and most important thing I want to tell you is this, do not pick at or squeeze your acne. This is the one thing you must remember not to do. As an acne lesion is hurt by fingernails or sharp objects, it will take a longer time to heal and will more likely to leave behind a mark. Hence, here I hope you need to understand this important point before learning more on acne scar. I shall explain more on acne scar prevention and healing here.

You also need to know that the red and brown marks left after an acne outbreak is not true acne scar. It would be see as a depression of the skin or change in texture of the skin, and the discoloration should eventually go away, or lighten significantly over time. So you should not worry too much about such discoloration.

Hence you can use creams that are designed to lighten the skin to cover up such flaws. Most lightening creams contain hydroquinone which is useful for hyper pigmentation. But will the hydroquinone in lightening creams kills off pigment cells in your face and cause your face to become too white? Not too worry as this only happen with high concentration of hydroquinone. Off the shelves products contain only 2 percent of concentration, so it would not do harm to your face.

Click Here For Acne Cure Naturally Instant Access!

Lightening creams take about 1 month after starting treatment to show visible results in your face. Some products are more irritating than others, so you can try a few brands to find 1 that best suits your acne skin. It is recommended to use the cream on the entire face instead of only a particular spot in order to avoid a ring of lighter skin against a darker skin color.

So you can try this method of using lightening cream to deal with visible acne scar. You do not need to worry about chemical substances being bad for skin as long as you use moderate amount of cream. If you want to find out more how you can deal with acne issue using acne natural remedies, check out my acne site now!

Scarring as a result of acne can be permanent and depressing. Acne scar prevention is important to anyone who gets blemishes because scars are a permanent reminder of your struggle with bad skin. A scar is characterized by a discolored, slightly raised, or slightly indented mark that remains visible for an extended period of time. After a blemish heals, within a few weeks you should not be able to tell what was once there.

Acne scar prevention is quite simple. Severe cases of acne should never be left untreated. Cystic acne is the most prevalent in causing scar. Visit a dermatologist so he can figure out the best method to treatment of your acne. He/She may choose to inject a corticosteroid into a cyst to decrease the inflammation if it appears bad enough to cause a scar. Avoid rupturing pimples at all costs. Rupturing the wound will dramatically increase the possibility of scars. Squeezing or picking at a spot will also make an infection worse.

If you suffer from acne, it is best to find a good medicine. Acne scar prevention is much easier to accomplish if there is a minimal amount of infections to maintain. Over-the-counter medicines work for most people, but if it is desired, a dermatologist could assist you in prescribing the best treatment for your skin.

Boosting the healing process and decreasing the inflammation of acne works best for acne scar prevention. Being directly exposed to the sun slows down healing and can further the irritation to an existing blemish. Always wear a good, non-greasy sunscreen if you plan to be outside for an extended amount of time. Leave scabs that form to fully run their course. Scabs are present to heal and rebuild your skin to its best condition. Removing a scab before it should come off can re-infect the area and cause increased inflammation.

If your skin has developed scars before you learned proper acne scar prevention, there are ways to correct them. Simple procedures such as chemical peels or dermabrasion can be performed to re-establish the appearance of healthy and clear skin. It can be a painful and expensive process depending on the condition of the scarring. More than one type of treatment may be necessary in some cases to get the best result. A dermatologist is the best person to determine what is right for you. Unfortunately in some instances, scars may still be vaguely present even after numerous scar removal procedures.

Remember that acne scar prevention is a process and its takes work, but it is worth it. Some people just want to not worry with their acne and just hope that it clears up on its own. If you don’t take care of your acne or your skin, then it could leave ugly scars on your face. Scars cause skin to prematurely appear old and discolored. Then you will have lasting memory of the time you had trouble with acne and regret that you didn’t take precautions when you still had the chance.

Acne sufferers face more than one concern. There is of course the constant nuisance of the acne itself. There is also the anxiety caused by the acne scars and lesions which will render the skin an aesthetic disaster. The reason for this is that most people believe that acne is a temporary situation whereas you are stuck with acne scars for the rest of your life.

Undoubtedly there are numerous acne scar treatments in the market today which work quite well. But the downside is there are some types of acne whose scars cannot be eliminated because they run too deep. Therefore you must ensure that no scars form in the first place because you wouldn’t want to take on the emotional and financial burden of dealing with permanent scars.

What we will be discussing here are the many forms of acne scars which exist, the ways to treat them and last but not least, how to prevent them by tackling the internal causes of the condition.
Types of Acne Scars, their causes and their diagnosis

Studies show that severe acne which develops in the deeper layers of the dermis, causing nodules and cysts to form, is what mostly causes acne scars. There are other causes also like infection, cystic acne which works its way deep into the dermis and an overgrowth of skin tissues. Squeezing or popping acne can also cause scars.

It has been seen that, no matter what type of acne they have contracted, some people are more prone to get scarred than others. And occasions arise where the body itself makes a mess of its wound healing process: whether in the process of formation of new capillaries or by improper collagen deposit or in its response to the swelling or anabolic and catabolic phases; errors in any of these healing equations could lead to scarring.

Whatever may be the causes, to avert the possibility of permanent scarring, start treating your acne scars as soon as you can.

Acne scars can be of two varieties: those which come about because of skin tissue loss and those which form because of an increase in skin tissue formation.

Formation of scars because of skin tissue increase

The acne scars which form because of increased skin tissue are usually Keloids scars. Keloids scars, which tend to strike people with dark complexions, emerge when excessive collagen is produced by cells during the healing process. These scars tend to be irregularly shaped and firm and are usually smooth.

Acne scars which emerge due to skin tissue loss:

Acne spots: a discoloration of the skin to brown or red characterizes these acne scars. Acne spots usually fade away with time or with the help of topical scar treatments. Similarly, post inflammatory hyper pigmentation, which often follows acne breakouts, fades away naturally, but to quicken the process you should try MSM.

Ice-pick lesions: the name says it all. Such acne scars resemble ice on which repeated cuts have been made with an ice pick. They usually appear on the cheeks. The scars can be either deep or superficial and are more difficult to get rid of than discoloration scars.

Depressed fibrotic scarring: deep nodules leave behind this type of acne scars. They are white and rigid and are characterized by sharp margins and steep sides.

Atrophic scar macules: Acne scars of this type are small and white and are generally soft and distensible.

Boxcar scars, characterized by vertical edges and round indentations and rolling acne scars which are the result of the surface of the skin getting stuck to the subcutaneous layer are other types of acne scars.

Acne Scars and their treatments

Mostly, acne scars fade away slowly, as do Post inflammatory pigmentations but there are some which resist removal. The only way to smoothen them away is through topical treatment or surgical cosmetic intervention.

Each acne scar needs to be tackled in its special way. There are also scars which require to be treated through a combination of several eradication methods. Very many treatments exist for getting rid of scars and these include: pulsed laser technology, dermabrasion, chemical peels, laser resurfacing, punch techniques, collagen injections and creams.

Collagen injection is a method whereby collagen or fat is injected under the skin. This method is mostly suitable for soft scars, whether they are deep or shallow. However, it has to be kept in mind that this is a short term solution and these injections have to be administered every 6 months. Moreover, collagen injections produce some unpleasant side effects and allergic reactions may also develop.

Microdermabrasion is a scar treatment in which tiny particles are passed through a vacuum tool. The intention is to scrape the external top layer of the skin. The method stimulates and enhances the growth of new cells but is only effective in cases of mild scarring.

Laser resurfacing is a method by which the skin layer is flattened and resurfaced with the help of laser. This is done so that scars become more even with the surface of the skin and are therefore less noticeable. It has been found that newly formed acne scars respond better to laser treatment than do the old ones. However, this process can cause disagreeable side effects such as infection and an unusual reddening of the skin. At times, it can even aggravate the scars.

Punch grafting is a technique which involves the slicing of the acne scar right down to the layer of fat and then stitching it up by using a small skin graft.

Different types of scars have to be treated differently. Let us tell you about the recommended treatments in respect of the various types of acne scars. Alpha lipoic acid acne cream and MSM are excellent for use on post hyper pigmentation marks. Laser resurfacing or dermabrasion are the recommended treatments for ice pick scars. However, these scars do not respond positively to Collagen injections which should only be used on flat or thin scars. The Keloids acne scars can be smoothened with steroid injections, crytotherapy, silicone gel dressing and with pulsed laser treatment combined with carbon dioxide laser vaporization (where there is not too much thickness or too much redness on the keloid scars).

Acne Scar prevention

In the final analysis of course, the cheapest and best way of getting out of the nuisance factor of dealing with acne scars is to rid yourself of the acne condition. And the only sure and permanent way of curing your acne is by putting in place methods which would redress the internal cause of your acne. Conventional medications, topical or over the counter acne treatments or steroids really don’t help.

When you are able to correct the deep rooted internal factors that really are the cause of your acne formation, you will automatically be free of any acne scarring and also free of the never ending expenses that you incur in taking treatment for its removal.

You must understand that although acne develops on the surface of the skin, as do the scars that appear as a result of the acne, acne is not a skin problem. It forms because of flaws in your internal balance deep inside. Acne and consequently acne scarring are both caused by problems which are wholly internal.

You yourself can do away with the acne scars and do this even before they form by going to the root of the problem deep inside you. This way you will stop the very process of acne formation and be able to live your life free of acne and consequently, of acne scars as well. It will give an impetus to your existence as you will not be burdened by the emotional load of having to carry disfiguring scars on your face.

Acne is a skin condition that most adolescents and even a few adults have to contend with. It is induced when somebody has dreadfully oily skin or when our hormones are changing and maximizing the production of oils in our skin. For most people the problem might be quite mild and affect us once every couple of months. But there are certain who have such intense breakouts that it might cause scars.

There are many things that you can do to address acne scars. If you are inclined to breakouts, no matter how intense they are, you must understand how you are able to avoid them. There are certain things in which you are able to do and other things that you need to keep yourself from doing. With these tips you will not only help to prevent them – but also help them to heal faster.

Treat Right Away

This is the easiest tip that I am able to present to you and it can be the first thing that you do. Anytime you have a breakout you should apply the medication or over the counter treatment that you have bought. It may take a few days or weeks to go away – but at any rate you will be helping it to heal fast and avoid scarring. Anyone who has tough outbreaks should talk with their physician. The over the counter treatments are usually not enough and something stronger has to be given to you.

Don’t Touch It

Many individuals make the mistake of popping the pimples thinking in the hopes of preventing acne thinking that it can do away with them quicker. All you are doing is maximizing the infection and placing you at a higher risk of pitting. You should never scratch it, pop it, or touch it in anyways. This can force more dirt and oil onto it and prevent the treatment from functioning.

People can suffer from different Acne Types depending on their bodies. Learn ways in which you can Prevent Acne and scarring.
