I have been taking clavaris. So far nothing has changed. I have very bad acne, and very bad scars. None of them really are craters or anything, just dark colored spots all over my face that isnt acne.
I was wondering if the accutane would help it a little or some? And if it doesnt, what to do? In my opinions it is just as bad as the acne.

Those creams don’t work and if does ever work it will take years.Maybe you could try taking some vitamin a supplements instead b4 trying accutane.Accutane can have really bad side effects and cause people liver failure and other problems sometimes because it is made with really high doses of vitamin A.

I have really bad, red acne on my back, as well as acne scars.
I’ve used Proactiv Solution, and sometimes it makes it worse. when it DOES make it better, the acne is still very noticeable.
I feel self-concious when I wear swimsuits and spagetti strap tops.
I can’t really afford to go the dermatologist…what can I do??

I have bad acne and I can’t stop picking at it. At that time of the month I typically get it the worst. Is there a good at home remedie to help me heal the blemishes. They are ordinarily red and they get pussy (I know its gross, im sorry) Then when I pick on it since my skin is so sensitive I get brown scars. I need a way to get rid of the scars without making my skin oily and making my zits worse. Also need a way to get puss out of zits and dry them out without over drying my face. My skin is pretty messed up. Please! can anyone help me by telling me some at home remedies for scars and the blemishes themselves?
I accidently said Puss-ey and that reffered to the puss in the zits not anything elsse. Im sorry.

well..i haven’t had severe acne…but when i do get a bump..it’s those kind of deep in-bumps..and if anyone has had them..you know that’s the worst you can get..you just have to wait for it to go away on it’s own..and well..those kind of bumps causes scarring on me..and nothing has helped yet..and i was wondering if anyone knows if Proactive helps remove those scars as well as acne..

Alright guys! I’ve had it with my blemishes and acne. Sometimes it’s okay, and sometimes it’s just bad. Especially after shaving. The worst places are on my neck and my forehead and upper-back/shoulders and chest usually. My forehead looks like it’s almost scarring and is always drier than any other part of my body, along with my shoulders and upper-back. I wonder how so many young adults my age have a perfectly acne-free, non-drying, scar-free face. It bothers me quite a bit. haha. Anyways, I have a pretty great diet, I drink a lot of water, I take a shower usually every morning, I exercise at least 2 days a week. What’s going on here?? I mean, of course it’s got a lot to do with genetics and what not, but my life style is pretty healthy. I use acne medications, but I usually test one for about a month or two, and then do nothing and nothing at all has changed, and I sometimes try another after awhile, and still nothing changes. Those chemicals don’t work on my skin, so those kinds of treatments are out of the question…. So… what about accutane? my friend was on it, and he is one of the happiest guys, but he was really depressed, but after he was done, he had pretty much no acne. I’m naturally mildly depressed, nothing being active and being around people can’t solve. It might worsen that depression and could have long term side affects… I’ve heard that it comes back wayyy worse after you stop using it, and harms your body, etc, etc. ANYWAYS, after all of that, what would you reccomend? Should I go on accutane? should I try some other type of medication? I’m 19 now, and it’s just pathetic that it’s never really cleared up. Anyone have a little insight on this? Thanks =)

on my back mostly n on my chest too theres a big one.. its from scratching the nodules n bustin them it was a few years ago, im on accutane now and no more acne but the scars.. really embarassing .. and i wouldnt mind leavin the shirt off 2 get these farmer tan away.. any scar ointments or anything to make them go away? something from the local pharmacy?

I have been suffering from acne for a long time. Not just little whiteheads that go away. I consistently get cystic (under the skin pustules that get swollen and red) acne and they have left really bad scars and I am really self conscious about it. I am 39 and have acne scars, not as bad as some but enough to bother me. I took accutane when I was a teen and it first came out. It worked splendidly and I had no scars or acne until I was 21 and got pregnant, 3rd time, and started to break out again. I did not with the other two pregnancies. So I started taking accutane again and it didn’t work that time and I don’t break out anymore but the scars are painful reminders and I hate makeup. Does anyone know of anything, by trial and error or trial and worked, if there is something I don’t know of that will help, not completely take them away. I know that is impossible and I am not getting a chemical peel. My aunt did and it was PAINFUL and didn’t do anything good at all. Please only intelligent answers, this is a personal thing and I don’t let it bother me around people but it does bother me when I look in the mirror. Thank you!
Been there and done that with the Vitamin E and it clogs my pores and doesn’t help, I use cocoa butter all over my body and it has never helped with any scar, just keeps my skin soft. I don’t buy anything OTC, all I am using on my face is Dove soap, recommended by the Dermatologist, who wants to do a chemical peel.
I don’t have active acne, just scars.
