I’m almost 16, and I suffer with acne, and I have pretty bad redness. Right now I’m using Saint Ive’s Apricot face wash exfoliate everyday ( 2% salicylic acid). I’m tired of this stupid acne, and redness. My skin looks bad without foundation because of the redness and acne. Help me please. I am 18 years old and in college and I have struggled with mild acne since 6th grade. I have tried different prescriptions (pills and creams) and everything seems to work for a few months and then it isn’t as effective. I don’t want to use Accutane or birth control. And my skin is oily and dry at the same time. I usually get scab-like cuts on my face from the acne, but I don’t have any acne scars. HELP?

I am a African American female and I am considering having the Fraxel Laser treatment done to my face due to me having severe acne scars. This procedure is quite expensive it cost $1,000 just for one treatment. I was wondering does anyone know of any African American that had this procedure and did it work for them.
