I am 17 and I don’t have any acne and my skin is soft now but I have acne scars that are on my face and are red, but do people know about any home remedies that can help or something that I could buy if it’s cheap?

Just curious cause i have some scars on my face and whether it will effect my appearance or not

I just went to the dermatologist for the first time and i got some pills and other stuff to try and if that doesnt work she is going to put me on accutane straight away so im excited of course. I have unfortunately some scars from acne on my chest and back. Not like the pocket ones just like marks. Will accutane help the scars as well? And if not what are my other options for getting rid of the scars? Thanks guys

I’m 22 and i’m gay. I’m a pretty good looking guy, no scars on my face or anything, but in high school I had pretty bad acne on my back. I went to the dermatologist and had to go on accutane etc. The active acne has pretty much cleared up but it left some pretty significant scarring. I have this HUGE insecurity about it. I have been to 2 dermatologists and i’m currently treating it, but for the type of scarring its very hard to treat (keloid/hypertrophic). It has improved but I’m told I will have to just live with the scars. I’m afraid that anyone who sees or finds out will reject me for it and its hard to find a great guy as it is. My first b/f said he had no problem with it but I almost always wore a shirt when I was with him unless it was dark and hardly ever let him touch my back. I’m relatively satisfied with every other aspect of my body but this is making life difficult. Am I not trusting that someone won’t be utterly shallow about it? what would u do? Plz be kind!

i used this clean & clear product that i thought was going to help me get rid of my acne but i think thats what caused the scars.They look like red spots on my skin.Like chicken pot or red spots under my skin. i realy wana get rid of the spots.what can i do about my scars? would it work if i put cocoa butter lotion on my face?

I have a pretty bad Acne scars. I have spent over thousand of dollars getting rid of scar but nothing have work. I have set up a appointment with dermatologist. I am 22 and had acne since 12 years old and never have go away yet. Will the dermatologist prescribe me some sort of medication to get rid of the acne scars or laser removal is the only answer? I am a student and can not afford a laser treatment. What other way are out there that the dermatologist can help me get rid of me acne scars?

I was on Accutane for 5 months and it did miracles for acne, however I have recently stopped and am wondering what I can do to reduce the redness on my cheeks that the Accutane has caused (not acne scars, just overall redness). I manage by applying a water-based make-up daily, however would like for the redness to fade, not just to be covered up. Is there anything out there that you have used to even out your skin tone after being on Accutane? Thanks!
