Question about acne scars.?
I have a pretty bad Acne scars. I have spent over thousand of dollars getting rid of scar but nothing have work. I have set up a appointment with dermatologist. I am 22 and had acne since 12 years old and never have go away yet. Will the dermatologist prescribe me some sort of medication to get rid of the acne scars or laser removal is the only answer? I am a student and can not afford a laser treatment. What other way are out there that the dermatologist can help me get rid of me acne scars?

amm i use ponds in the pink container and it has my skin clean of pimples and scars idk if you tried all those things if ponds could clear your skin up…. hmm wow
I have some acne scars as well. I can’t afford to go to a dermatologist, so I thought about doing those “at home” microdermabrasion kits. Have you tried that? Did it help at all?
I’m sorry, I don’t really have a helpful answer, but your question caught my eye.
Acne scars are really hard to treat but there are lot of things you can do to minimize the severity. I would suggest you get onto Acne Org. there are plenty of people there trying so many different treatments and reporting on results that will help you make your decision as to which is the way to go. If your acne is still active the dermatologist will not treat your scars until acne is gone, you need to look into your diet, the best way to get results is to do an apple detox which is eating nothing but apples for 3 days, taking laxatives every night of those 3 days and drinking lots of water, you must repeat these 3 days of apples every 2 weeks until the acne is fully gone, you will see results very soon and try to have a good diet avoiding sugars and junk foods.
All the best
I think that different treatments work differently for different skin types. I have big pores and quite oily skin. I’ve tried Clearasil and Neutrogena in the past but they’ve never really done that much to help. I find it does help when I eat better and drink more water but I do have a sweet tooth! I went to my GP, not about my acne but about this lump that appeared in my eyelid (which is nothing by the way :p ) but he said I had acne, now my skin isn’t really bad but it is bit spotty, but he prescribed tablets and gel. I can’t remember what the pills were but they were a really bright red but they made me feel really sick in the morning so I stopped taking them, he then prescribed me with Tetrysal 300 which I don’t think is doing much but my skin is looking better. The gel is a big help though it makes big spots even with your skin so they don’t stick out which is good and sometimes reduces the redness. Also I’ve used Clinique 3 steps or something recently which is cleanser, exfoliator and a moisturiser and that is working miracles! I use it morning and night religeously! I got it at Christmas and it’s now August and it is really good however it is quite expensive but my Mum says it’s worth it because both her and my Dad had bad skin when they were teenagers and have quite bad skin now :s I think that cleansing, toning and moisturiserising even if not works right at the moment is better in later life or just washing you skin twice with warm water, even with just soap, is good and might not work for the time but might be better when you’re older? Hope this helps
I’ve tried a lot of medications before but haven’t really help. As a last resort i choose natural remedies. I found that it has the real power of curing my acne and scars. I’ve tried it and it really works for me, in less than one week you can already notice a lot improvement. I hope it helps you too.
