If I had to choose which ONE acne product I would always have with me, it would be the refining mask. I love it and it always works wonders. It can be used as a spot treatment or as a preventative measure. Enjoy!

how do you use this in conjunction with your salicylic and benzoyl peroxide regimen? after the benzoyl peroxide, before moisturizer?
i love this stuff. i find i have to wear it as spot treatment a few nights a week to reduce the pimple size rather than just one night. i also wear it as a mask for 10 min a few twice a week. it has really helped cleared my skin. i love looking at the improvements in the mirror now. as opposed to dreading looking at one
I agree its a pretty awesome product, when you say you sleep on it, do you mean like you put it on, go to sleep and then wash it off in the morning? I heard someone else doing it, so I was wondering if it like works better if you sleep with it on?

My two questions now are; does it work on acne scars and uneven skin tones?

can u put it on a pimple thats already there? or does it have to be when you first start to feel it
i had used the sample that came with the kit, after i used the cleanser, and i found it smelt weird, and made my skin smell funky too. i did use it all over. im in australia, so maybe ours is slightly different?

Yes, you can buy it without the full kit. I have a little proactive stand in the mall close to me, but if you call proactiv, you can order it over the phone or online and get it delivered to you.
can you just buy the mask without the full pro-active kit?
by far my favorite acne treatmeant is the proactive refining mask.
i know the stuff smells but it really works for me as well as for tarynbeth.
i would recommend it myself.

nice review.but i didnt really like the refining mask, the sulfate smell is really gross. proactiv made my acne worse.
thanks so much, i should probs get it lol i break out on my chin area as well and i tried the proactiv regime like a fw years ago and it was awful! The mask however, is probs the best proactiv product! :O btw look really pretty with your hair out!

I’ve never tried any proactive but I’ve always wanted to because I’ve tried so many products and I want to see if this works for me.

hey tarynbeth! i used the refining mask yesterday as a mask for my whole face, and then i put this neutrogena face lotion for sensitive skin. my skin feels AMAZING! i still have acne on my forehead and the sides of my nose but the rest of my skin is great!
Oh. I forgot to mention. I use the 3-steps and Iet it set in. Then I use olay face lotion…I use the combination/oily type. It gives my face the extra moisture it needs and it has spf 15.
Yes, the refining mask does come with the proactive set at costco.
Yeah, I tried proactiv for 7 months and it didnt work for me as well as I had hoped. I still got pimples, they were just smaller. I never missed a day or night and it dried out my skin. That’s why I stopped using it. Thats awesome that costco sells proactiv. Does it come with the refining mask?
I’ve been using proactive for over 6 years and I love it. Proactive does dry your skin slightly but I have oily skin so I’m ok with it. I’ve stopped using proactive a couple times because I got lazy and yes..your pimples come back. That’s b/c u stopped using an acne tx. Pimples aren’t cured. I hate ppl who say that. That’s my rant on that. BTW, I love the refining mask. FYI – costco does sell proactive now – a 6month supply for 30.
