Hi, I went to consult a dermatologist and after accessing my acne scar, she recommended me microneedling. Many of her patient experienced good results. However, I am still worried of the outcome such as, will I suffer prolonged face swelling? bruises?
Anyone out there who has undergo this treatment before can you share your experience? I am desperate to get rid of my acne scars for so many years. Thank you

MicroNeedling (Derma Rolling / Medical Needling) is an excellent technique to improve scarring (acne, chick pox, surgical). It enhances skin penetration of vitamins (A & C). It effectively increases new collagen production without damaging the skin.Very fine needles pierce the epidermis (top layer of the skin), stimulating collagen formation. Resulting a “micro-channel effect” which also helps to infuse vitamins, serums and other topical products to increase their effectiveness.

Hi Yeap Y
Microneedling is a very inexpensive way to treat your acne scar, I personally use a MNS microneedling roller about 2 to 3 times a week. Although I do not suffer with acne scarring, I did have scars caused by a my wayward childhood. These have now disappeared or have faded by a considerable amount. My skin feels and looks alot lot better since I have been using it.
Depending on what size roller you use, they normally go from 0.2mm to 2.5mm. (The larger ones should only be used by a skin therapist – 0.5mm upwards) but there is little or no downtime involved, so no need to worry about prolonged face swelling or bruises.
Also anotherway that you may consider but can be quite costly is N-Lite V, which is a IPL laser which treats acne, acne scarring, wrinkles etc. See http://www.courtneybell.co.uk for more info on this.
