Is Fraxel Laser treatments good for African American skin?

I am a African American female and I am considering having the Fraxel Laser treatment done to my face due to me having severe acne scars. This procedure is quite expensive it cost $1,000 just for one treatment. I was wondering does anyone know of any African American that had this procedure and did it work for them. I really will like to know before I ditch out this kind of money.

I wouldn’t recommend any laser treatment unless your skin is very light. You could end up with worse scars. Talk to an independent dermatologist first.
no it makes all ur skin fall off!
I dont know of anyone that has gotten this procedure, but I do know that as an “african american” or “black person” or “person of color” (i am black by the way..) it is always a good thing to consult a dermatoligist when considering having any type of treatments dont to the skin. The lazer treatment could possibly leave you in worse condition afterwards, since our skin heels differently & scars easier. I say talk to several dermatologists before shelling out that bread, you might even find an alternative answer that is less costly.
