How do I reduce appearance of acne scars on my face?

I am 19 and have had some bad acne breakouts that have left scarring. I don’t want to pay hundreds of dollars for laser scar removal or anything like that.. Are there are good home remedies or over the counter products I can buy that will help? I heard alpha hydroxy acid lotions are good to use?

I just saw a neutrogena commercial for a new product called the “mark eraser” or something like that.
Just thought I would pass this knowledge along. I haven’t tried it but it sounds like it might be what you are looking for.
