A popular method is to have a surgical procedure to smooth the skin out by either mechanical resurfacing or chemically most commonly know as a skin peel. I know that sounds bad but by doing your homework and choosing an outstanding doctor the results are quite good.

For those of us who do not want the downtime and pain like yours truly, you can try any number of home remedies or creams that are available. These may give you the results you need but will not work as fast as a surgical solution would.
